I have a modded playstation 1 and it doesn't spin the dics, I thought the problem was about the laser (old laser spinned discs for a while and then stops itself; it stopped spinning definitively
after I've adjusted its potentiometer several times) so i bought a new laser but the problem persists.
I don't think the problem is about the lasers, even though no laser spins games.

Probably the problem is with the sensor on the CD cover.

If the Playstation does not detect the lid closed, the CD does not turn (and the laser does not turn red, and you not will listen sounds of the drive movimenting).

Or the motor of CD Drive not working more, but is more easy to check the detector of closed cover.

1) How can I solve the issue without getting a new motherboard?
2) Can you please post the links of replacement parts? I'll need to get a new motherboard eventually

And check the soldering points of the Modchip in motherboard. Check oxidation and short circuit in the points.
